This Pearl District hangout is one of the few sports bars in the city that has only the Blazers to boast about – and the lack of mass interest in the topic matter is apparent. Instead of the comfy “eat burgers, drink beer, yell loudly” vibe offered up by bars in sports hungry towns, On Deck encourages you to eat hummus, drink microbrews, and politely request the t.v. be changed to another station.

This isn’t to say On Deck is a total sports wash – sports photographs and athlete’s signatures line the walls (price tags clearly displayed) and a number of expensive-looking televisions guarantee that you’ll be able to catch whatever it is you came to see.

The extensive patio is the most sporty thing in the place. Sit outside in the summer and peer at the games through the full-length windows.

The waitresses and hostesses are some of the nicest in Portland.
